Blandi began his career at age fourteen, working at the back of his father's salon. After attending art school, he moved to the United States, and opened his own salon in the Plaza Hotel on Madison Avenue. In 2005, Blandi launched his Oscar Blandi Product Collection, developed by Blandi himself .
